Charming! A clever use of fairy tales to explain core economic concepts.
Well written book and beautifully illustrated book.
A great opportunity for grandparents to connect with their second family. Girls especially need to hear about what makes the world go round.
Decided to buy this book for my daughter as her birthday present and now she really likes reading it, saying it’s interesting to know about economics concepts through fables and fairy tales. Amazing and highly recommended book for kids!!!
A smart way to introduce complicated concepts to children, which the helps developing their curiosity and analytical mindset. Highly recommended, suitable for my kid aged 12.
Economics for kids is an absolutely amazing book. It has changed my mindset, a fourty-two year old woman, in the method of educating my children in economics issues. I had never thought about teaching my kids about the value of earning money at a young age until I found this book. My kids and I have been experiencing wonderful moments of practicing to earn money together by selling ethnic brocade and fish sources. Economics for kids is a friendly-reading book for children to grasp “hard” concepts of economics in the easiest way through familiar fables and fairy tales. My kids have enjoyed reading the fascinating stories in the book, which in addition helps them to improve their English. I would like to appreaciate my gratitude to the author of the book for creating a must-have book for any family.
This book is worth reading for not only kids but also adults with non-economic mindsets. I am really appealed to Econ Kid and his Mom’s journey exploring how the world work. Through a fable, the Ant and the Grasshopper, economic theories (scarcity, saving, opportunity cost, utility…), considered to be dry topics, are explained in the most easily understandable words. Your kids will enjoy it, believe me!
This book is a perfect source to teach kids concepts of economics that are usually not easy to explain. The use of fables and fairy tales is a smart way to talk about complex concepts in kids’ language; it keeps the reader wanting to read more. I wish my university econ classes were this fun! The book is divided into short chapters, each featuring an economic concept with a tale. The stories are short and well-crafted. The mini adventures of the Econ Mum and Econ Kid around their city are a lovely touch to the book, which I really liked. To be honest, I enjoyed reading this book so it’s not just for kids but also great for parents and adults!
If you’re looking for an economics book that simplifies complex concepts and connects them to everyday life, this book is perfect for you.
